About Alleluia Gusenga
Alleluia Gusenga is a PhD candidate in the department of Sociology at Indiana University. She earned her B.A. in Sociology at Eastern Illinois University in 2018. For her undergraduate thesis, Alleluia examined the role race and gender play in one’s upward mobility and attainment of leadership positions. Her research interests take a social structural approach to studying inequality in American work organizations including exclusionary practices, social networks, and other interpersonal interactions at work that may facilitate or impede gender and racial hierarchy in the workplace and in the broader society.
