GSA partners each incoming first-year graduate student with an experienced graduate student mentor. The GSA student mentoring program provides an invaluable resource during the first year of graduate school, particularly during the first few months.
This unique collective effort was covered by the IUB magazine "Teaching and Learning” in 2009. Our hope is that these relationships will facilitate greater ties between the 'new' and 'older' students, and also provide new graduate students with an informal source of information about the department and graduate student life.
