Outstanding Junior Sociology Major Award

Outstanding Junior Sociology Major award

This award was established by the Weatherly family in 1941 to honor a junior Sociology major “who has outstanding scholarship or intellectual achievement and the highest type of excellence of character.” Excellence of character is judged on the bases of leadership activities and community service.

This competition is open to undergraduate Sociology majors who hold junior class standing at the time of nomination. You may self-nominate or be nominated by Sociology instructors. Nominations should be made by submitting application materials to the Sociology academic advisor.
