We're delighted to share the news that Rudy Professor Brian Powell is the recipient of the 2023 College of Arts and Sciences Distinguished Mentor Award for his “innovative, focused, and intentional mentoring” of undergraduates, graduates, and faculty. The award letter noted just a few of his contributions: the expansive national network of next-generation scholars who have benefited from Brian’s research smarts, the many students who worked closely with Brian as Undergraduate Teaching Assistants, and of course, his role as co-director of the Preparing Future Faculty program.
