Pamela Jackson and Christy Erving's article “Race-Ethnicity, Social Roles, and Mental Health: A Research Update,” was chosen for the North Central Sociological Association's Scholarly Achievement Award.
In a large pool of nominated works, their article was ranked highest by a three-member committee of judges.
The article will be honored during an awards ceremony at the NCSA's annual conference; this year, the conference is virtual, and the ceremony will take place online on Friday 4/9 between 5:15 and 5:45 PM.
