Bianca Manago (2018; now Vanderbilt University) received the Best Dissertation Award for “The Role of Mental Health Labels in Stigma and Status Processes.”
Jason Schnittker (2001; now University of Pennsylvania) received the Best Publication Award for The Diagnostic System: Why the Classification of Psychiatric Disorders is Necessary, Difficult, and Never Settled.
Robin W. Simon (1992; now Wake Forest University) received the Leonard I. Pearlin Award for Distinguished Contributions to the Sociological Study of Mental Health.
