Alex earned a Bachelor of Arts with Honors with a double major in Sociology and Anthropology from the University of Texas at Austin. Her research interests are primarily focused on the sociology of education, specifically in the factors that affect educational disparities and how early schooling experiences shape students' academic trajectory.
