About Stanley Michalski

Stanley is interested in the ways that digital technologies (apps, AI, etc.) are being used by people to manage stress and mental health issues. He is also interested in studying how popular news sources frame these technologies and their usage in mental health contexts, to larger public audiences.
   
As a teaching scholar, Stanley is interested in helping students develop sociological critical thinking through the use of standardized writing systems as well as developing other strategies that contribute to the WAC and WID movements.
 
Education history
Stanley earned his MA at IU in 2025. Prior to attending IU, he graduated from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with a BA in Sociology and Psychology with a minor in Criminology, Law, and Society.
