Hello everyone! My name is Kylie May, and I am pursuing a Sociology Ph.D. in order to become a professor and researcher. I recently graduated with High Distinction from IUB with a BA in Sociology and a Minor in Criminal Justice. I also have experience with media and journalism. My primary research interests often circulate back to inequality and social class; however, I'm interested in a variety of topics. For instance, my mixed-methods undergraduate Honors Thesis titled A Culture of Care and Capital: How Undergraduates Relate Social Class, Mental Health, and Academic Success concerned topics like inequality, culture, and barriers to resources. For some fun facts about myself, I enjoy playing video games in my spare time!
