My name is Kylie May, and I am pursuing a Sociology Ph.D. in order to become a professor and researcher. Currently, I teach Introduction to Sociology and study a variety of research topics relating to inequality. For instance, my master's thesis examines student perceptions of the affirmative action repeal and whether it impacted them. Other research I've done concerns how students relate mental health, academics, and social class, how students have navigated college admissions, etc.
