Although many organizations aspire to be socially diverse, most tend to remain relatively homogeneous. Furthermore, despite the strong emphasis on becoming diverse, diversity’s consequences for organizational outcomes remain unclear. My research analyzes the causes and consequences of diversity within organizations. I seek to explain how some organizations become diverse and how diversity influences their outcomes.
