Danyelle Sturdivant is a graduate student in the Sociology program. She received her B.A. in Sociology with a minor in Anthropology from the University of South Alabama in 2020. Her undergraduate thesis used ethnographic methods to explore the precarious situation of exotic dancers during the COVID-19 pandemic. Currently, her research interests include gender and sexualities, education, culture, and qualitative methods. While at Indiana University, she hopes to conduct research at the intersection of these interests that will have implications for future pedagogy.
