Daniel Rudel is a graduate student in the Ph.D. program in Sociology at Indiana University Bloomington. He received a B.A. in 2010 from Hamilton College in Clinton, New York, where he majored in sociology. Prior to joining the department, he spent a year working at the Center of Alcohol Studies at Rutgers University in New Brunswick, NJ.
His research interests are focused in the areas of education, inequality, and stratification. His master's thesis examined the role of educational expectations in the current gender gap in higher education. His current projects are specifically focused on examining the consequences of student loan debt in the United States. He also teaches courses in introductory sociology and research methods.
