Ellis Frieh is a PhD candidate in the Department of Sociology at Indiana University. They received a BA in Sociology from SUNY Buffalo's Honors College in 2015 and an MA in Sociology from Indiana University in 2017. Ellis is a National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellow and is currently working for Brea Perry as a research assistant. Ellis is also conducting ongoing interviews for Jessica Calarco's Pandemic Parenting project. Their dissertation research is on the experiences of certified mental health peer specialists, emotion work, and the intersection of lay and professional knowledge.
